Jasmina Trumbetas, Soprano


Born in Belgrade. After receiving her degree in solo singing and Slavic languages from the University of Belgrade she was accepted to the National Theatre in Belgrade, where her career flourished in the lyric and spinto soprano roles. In 2000 she won the prize awarded at the International Competition in Maiolati, Italy, and in 2003 was Crowned Singer-of-the-year. Jasmina made her international debut in Oslo 2001 which lead her to Greece, Italy, Hungary, France, Macedonia, Slovenia, Israel, Germany and many more. Recently she sang with great success the title role in Puccini’s Butterfly in Seoul with opera Petruzzelli directed by Daniele Abbado. This year Ms. Trumbets was awarded the Serbian best classical performer of the year award.
